He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rankin and Nell Rankin. He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Stephens; his children, Chad Rankin (Christina) and Paige Gregory (Sam); his grandchildren, Elise, Nolan Rankin, Adaline and Marit Gregory; and his sister Betty Lester (Kenneth).

The family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Society.
