With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joy Putnam (Bandera, Texas), born in Lockhart, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joy left this world on November 11, 2024 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Annie Muriel Coker Hickman (Robert Loyd Hickman) and Joy; her spouse Leslie W. Short, Sr. (Bill); her children, Susie Rhodes (Larry), Annette Lee (David), Les Short (Marcia), Clare Jo Anderson (Rick) and Jake Short (Kari); her grandchildren, Hunter Batman, Jeremy Lee (Ashli), Jaime Lee and Scott Short; her great grandchildren, Natalia and Titus Lee; her close friend Jim Putnam; and also, Glenn Putnam (Martha) and James Putnam (Bridget). She was also cherished by her family, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ridin' the River Cowboy Fellowship (5767 TX-173, Bandera, TX 78003).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hill Country Youth Ranch, Bandera's Frontier Times Museum, or a charity of your choice.
