He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Leora Cude Postert and Henry Postert, Sr.; and his siblings, Annabell, Hennrietta, Harold and Louis "Buddy".

He is survived by: his spouse Jane; his children, Katherine Dennis of Pipe Creek, TX, Mary Montgomery of Homer, AK, Patricia Martin of San Antonio, TX, Daniel Schaefer of Containment, Timothy Postert of Bandera, Hank Postert and Jon Postert of Arlington, TX; and his grandchildren, Ashley Ibarra, Amie Rodgeway and Rachel Treiber.
