He was predeceased by: his parents, Howell Earl and Dollie Mae Jones (Gardner); his wife Jeanette Marie Batchelor; and his siblings, Bobby Ray Jones, Gertrude Armstrong, Earline Allison and Lucy Jones.
He is survived by: his brother Ron (Peggy Jones) of Temple, Texas; his nieces, Margie (Todd Schroeder) of Waukesha and Sharon Bettis of Seguin, Texas; and his brother-in-law Will D. Armstrong of Galveston, Texas..
