Edwin Bernard Zly Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin Bernard Zly (Ballinger, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 6, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanora Fisher Zly and Cyril Zly (CJ); his former wife Marcella Fischer Zly; his wife Eldoris Goetz Zly; his daughters, Karla Zly Cook and Eddie Zly Wiese; his sons-in-law, Johnny Cook and David Duke; and his siblings, Regina Zly Cooksey, Clarence Zly (Buddy) and Daniel Zly.
He is survived by: his children, Ellen Jean, Eldoris, Jeanie Duke of Ballinger, Laura Brevard (Brad) of Ballinger, Martha Rose (Rick) of Ballinger, Rebecca Livingston (Mark) of Colleyville, Joan Goetz Lange (Dennis) of Miles and Herbert Steven Goetz (Vicki) of San Antonio; his son-in-law Calvin Wiese of Hamilton, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Dena Kalina, Marshal Lange, Lori Hannasch, Aaron Goetz, Tony Duke, Adam Cook, Heather Lukas, Russell Rogers, Beau Brevard, Kimberly Lorenz, Skylar White, Matthew Wiese and Mitchell Wiese; and also Harold (Edwin). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lange Funeral Home Chapel (1910 Hutchings Ave, Ballinger, TX 76821). A Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (608 S 6th St, Ballinger, TX 76821).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab Center, or Home Health/Hospice of Ballinger on his behalf.
