He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Eugene Sr. and Ruth Winset (Meadows); and his brother Gary Smith. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Elliott; his children, Dendy Rojas (Daniel) of Pasadena, Maryland and Brandon Smith (Monica) of San Angelo; his stepson Christopher Sargent (Heidi) of Ballinger, Texas.; and his grandsons, Jacoby Rojas, Josiah Rojas, Jackson Rojas, Kai Smith and Zachary Sargent.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
