With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arnold Robert Matthiesen (Ballinger, Texas), who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Matthiesen and Rosa Matthiesen; his children, Mary Gail, Sharon Lynn, Joseph Leo and Randy Joe; and his siblings, Sister Rosaria, Irene (Jerry Mazur), Olga (Floyd Miller) and Msgr.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Billie Jean Matthiesen; his wife Charlene; his children, James (Starla) of Olfen and Diane (Billy Eggemeyer) of Midkiff; his grandchildren, Joe Matthiesen (Lacy) of Olfen, Jamie Strube (Justin) of Rowena, Leslie Glass (Nathan) of Miles, Brad Matthiesen (Angie) of San Angelo, Sam Matthiesen of Golden, CO, Russ Eggemeyer (Rachel) of Midkiff, Tracy Merrill (Scott) of Bryan, Bo Eggemeyer (Amber) of Midkiff and Riley Eggemeyer of Thrawl; his brother Norbert Matthiesen of Brady; and his sister-in-law Bernice Matthiesen of San Angelo. He is also survived by his 23 great-grandchildren.
