She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Smith Higgins and Edith Della Higgins; her daughter Melissa Talley Romo; and her brothers, Edward Higgins, Everett Higgins and Jimmy Higgins.

She is survived by: her sister Joyce Bogan of Combine; her daughters, Christina White of Forney and Angela Magee of Mesquite; her grandchildren, Valencia Barrera, Joshua Cortez, Brittany Magee, Brandi Magee, Brandon Magee and MiEbony White; her great grandchildren, Madison Cortez of Joshua Cortez and Arabella Cortez; her cousins, Whether and Sis; and her grandmother Miss Lois.
