He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Dean Ivory (J. D.) and Joann of Washington; his siblings, Billy Glen of Washington, Sarah King-Waitmon and Cynthia Rena King; his uncle James Hillery; and his aunts, Christine and Bessie.

He is survived by: his children, Jesse Wayne of Washington and Theresa Taliaferra Rodgers; his wife Teresa of Washington; his grandchildren, Jordan and Jasmine Rodgers; and his siblings, Carl Ray of Washington, Gary Lee Walker and Theresa Walker. He is also survived by other friends and relatives.
