She is survived by: her children, Rodney Ray, Brenda Kay, Gayla Fay and Brenda Shaw; and her grandchildren, Stacy, Chris, Ronda, Rodney, Jr., Jason Vineyard, Cheryl Fain Huntley, James Jackson and Savannah Ligaluppi.
In 2012, Flozelle decided to move in with her daughter, Brenda Shaw.It was following this move in 2014 Flozelle was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease/Dimentia although she was showing symptoms as far back as 2008.
