It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Sue Smith (Balch Springs, Texas), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on September 21, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Garland Earl Smith; her sister Alice Gwendolyn Thomson; her son Mark Chesley Tarver III of Wilmer, Alabama; and her stepgrandson Shane Boatman. She is survived by: her former husband Donald Allen Tarver; her daughter Alice Arden Tarver McGuire of Mesquite; her grandchildren, Dylan, Noah and Chesley; her son Thomson Allen Tarver; her grandchild Zachariah Thomson Tarver; her daughter Jennifer Diane Smith Newberry of Carrollton; her son-in-law Johnathan Newberry of Dallas; her grandchildren, Jacob Newberry, Jackson Newberry, Trishia Boatman York and Amy Tarver Reynolds; her siblings, Bobbie Diane Thomson Hastings of Rockwall and Michael Grant Thomson of Hot Springs, Arkansas.; and also Garland Christopher Smith. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
