She is survived by: her sister-in-law Joyce Birdsong; her daughter Deborah Hale (Bryan); her grandchildren, Andrea Hale and Charlie Hale; and her siblings, Robert Smith, II (Betty), Pamela Travis and Denise Ash. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
