Layni Dawn Potter Obituary
Layni was born on May 17, 2005, in Abilene, Texas by her mother Jill Potter Goldsmith. She graduated from Baird High School and pursued a career at the Hendrick Clinic Call Center.
She loved to shop, playing video games with her little brother, spending time with her family, listening to Elvis, spending time with her friends, giving gifts, and spoiling all of her nieces and nephews.
Layni was a free spirit who loved life almost as much as she loved her family. If there is such a thing as the quintessential example of a life well lived, Layni is such a person. To Layni, life was seriously appreciable, and every experience added to her growth factor. She referred to the status quo as a stasis… and she unequivocally rejected it. With her family, she loved emphatically. To friends, she helped them to earn her trust and then she was committed to them.
To Layni, her relationship with Jesus Christ was moving to the forefront of everything that governed her actions. She had flaws and was much too human at times, but in times of solemnity, she was soaking in the word of God and basking in the love Jesus.
She is survived by her parents Jill and Steve Goldsmith; brothers Hayden Potter of Baird, Tristan and wife Catie Potter of Putnam; grandmother Bonnie Potter of Clyde; grandfather Rick Potter of Cross Plains; uncles and aunts Chris Potter of Cross Plains, Jarrod and wife Amy Potter of Cross Plains, Seth and wife Jesse Potter of Abilene; nephews Grayson, Easton Potter; cousins Christa Miller, Kaylee Potter, Chloe Potter, James Melton, Jocelynn Potter, Riley Potter, Brady Potter, Kambri Potter, Kiptyn Potter, Ella Potter and Sam Potter.
