Janice Fay Graham Obituary
Janice Fay Langford Graham died Saturday, March 30th, 2024 surrounded by her family in Baird, Texas. She was born April 5, 1946 in Sherman, Texas to Grady and Fay Langford.
Janice graduated from Van Alstyne High School in 1964. She lived in Baird for more than 40 years, touching many lives through her various eccentric ventures. A lifelong hairdresser, Janice operated the Head Shed where she empowered her customers to look and feel fabulous. As a curator with a discerning eye, Janice found no shortage of antiquing opportunities in Baird and Abilene, amassing a significant collection with notable style. Above all, Janice was a friend to people and animals alike, taking hundreds of stray cats, and one dog, into her care over the years.
Never one to be out principled, Janice had strong political views and a stubborn disposition. Despite this, she never judged a book by its cover, though certainly judged plenty of books (and people) by their content. She loved to read mystery novels, was a skilled conversationalist and a loving mother and Granny.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vic Graham and parents Grady Alvin Langford and Fay Kelley Langford.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelley Shuford and husband Jimmy Shuford of Round Top; Courtnaye Kelly and husband Dave Kelly of Kingwood; grandchildren London Diller, Lakyn Diller, Leif Diller and wife Amelia Diller, Jade Kelly, Carson Kelly; and her beloved dog Annie Graham.
