Grabiel Rodriguez Obituary
Grabiel Rodriguez passed from this life on July 13, 2024, at 1:28 PM at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene surrounded by his family.
He was born in Callahan County Hospital on May14, 1955. He was the son of the late Clemente Rodriguez and Elvira Davila Rodriguez and the fourth born of six children. He was a resident of Baird for most of his life. He attended Baird schools all twelve years and graduated in 1973.
When he entered the work force, he quickly realized that he loved big rigs and he never looked back. He was always a fun-loving guy. In fact, his CB Handle was Country Clown. His most recent and final employer was Raydon. He thoroughly enjoyed it and made many friends there.
In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing with his family. Shooting pool was also one of his favorite things, but his greatest accomplishment was becoming a father to his sons Phillip and Gary Don Rodriguez.
He is proceeded in death by all his grandparents, both parents and his big brother Ezekiel "Zeke" Rodriguez.
He is survived by his sons Phillip Rodriguez and wife Cindy of Haslet, Gary Rodriguez and Wife Christine of Abilene; brothers and sisters Elizabeth Rodriquez and husband Felix of Baird, Elida Ramos and husband Ray of Baird, Mary Nell Rodriguez; wife of the late Zeke Rodriguez, of Abilene, Efraim Rodriguez and wife Susie of Baird, Rudy Rodriguez and wife Lauren of Baird, and his last remaining paternal uncle Johnny Rodriguez of San Antonio; his grandchildren Dakota, Cheyenne, Ty, Ryan and Jacob Rodriguez, Sage, Tim and Aiden McLane, Candace Jones, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; along with longtime friend, Tonya Robbins.
Your final drive has ended. No more slamming gears and filling out logbooks. Your most important entry you ever made was when your name was entered into the book of life. Thanks, brother, for your fun loving attitude and leaving all of us with such fond memories. We love you and will meet you again on that Highway to Heaven. It's never goodbye, it's when we see you again.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Baird Activity Center (Light Plant), 208 Walnut Street in Baird, from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
