She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ben and Ruth Ann Covington (Jones); and her siblings, Jo Ann Covington of Russellville, Arkansas, Gene, Benjamin and David Covington.
She is survived by: her husband Jesse Mendez of Baird; her sons, Jesse Mendez, Jr. (Shelby) of Springfield, Levi Garrett Mendez of Baird and Adam Angel Mendez of Baird; her siblings, Clifford Covington of Fort Worth, Janet Salazar of Miles, Sheila Olvera of Russellville and Maria Guifarro of Russellville, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Eli Mendez, Rory Mendez, Isaac Mendez, Carmilla Ann Mendez and Wyatt Lee Mendez; her stepchildren, Mindy Rodriguez and Josh Mendez; her nieces, Ruth Ann Covington and Milagros Guifarro; and her nephew Curtis Covington. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
