He is survived by: his wife Ruby Remmert; his children, Linda Hester (Leslie) and Merle Remmert, Jr. (Chandra); his brother Russell Dale Remmert (Brenda); and his grandchildren, James Hester, Kim Hester, Regina Hester, Kimberly Steen, Skyler Ramirez, Kolby Darr and Courtney Remmert.
