She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marion Zeigler and Flora Mae Zeigler; her husband James William Brawley of Springtown, Texas.; her son James Michael Brawley; her daughter-in-law Diana Dee Brawley; her grandson Jason Louis Brawley; and her brother James Marion Ziegler, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Brawley Walker (J. D. Walker); her grandchildren, Erica Brawley Luna (Jacob Luna), Chelsea Walker and Jacob Walker; and her great grandchild Preston Luna. She is also survived by other extended family members and many long-time friends.
