He was predeceased by: his parents, R. B. Williams and Ina Mae Williams; and his wife Patricia Williams. He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Lee Williams (Jane), James T. Williams, Virginia Miller and Roberta Schulle; his children, Jessica Williams, Katherine McCandless (Chance) and Kevin Lindsey; and his stepson Mitchell Hankins.
