He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marvin Grimes and Frances Marie Grimes; and his brother James Marvin Grimes. He is survived by: his wife Suzie Grimes; his daughter Jennifer Gurley; his grandchildren, Kiersten Branum, Kelsie Branum and Lyric Gurley; his siblings, Kenneth Grimes and Debra Rodgers; and his brother-in-law Richard Simmons.
