He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ira Hamilton Sr. and Nadine Kendrick-Hamilton; his wives, Charlene Reynolds and Liz Hamilton; and his siblings, Tommy, Leonard, Iris, Lucille and Geraldine.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick and Terry; his grandchildren, Tonya Craddock, Richard, Johnny, Jake Hamilton and Rainbeau Davis; his children, John Lafleur and Debbie Lafleur; and his granddaughter Amaya Lafleur. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
