He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gilley and Agnes Gilley; his in-laws, Albert and Ida Mae Richardson; his children, Danny Ray and Carla Kay Gilley; and his siblings, Gail Bryan Gilley, Margie Tinsley (Dobbie), Marvin Gilley, Richard Gilley, David Gilley and Darelene Bernard.
He is survived by: his friend Larry Admire; his wife Patsy; his children, Kent Gilley (Cindy), Shelley Gilley Unger (Scott), Chad Gilley (Bobbie) and Christi Gilley; his brother Ronnie Gilley (Sandi); his grandchildren, Zach, Craig, Jonathan, Kristen, Rachel, Bridgette, Kaylee, Jaci, Caitlin, Renner and Austin; and his close friends, Waymon Smithers and Marc Markum. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, kindly the family requests that donations be made, in James' name to the Castle Hills Mission House.
