He is survived by: his siblings, Dean Cinnamon (Trisha), Sue Ramey and Karen Sampson (Edwin); his children, Cindy Sutton (Chip) and Bill Cinnamon; and his grandchildren, Austin and Mikayla Sutton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“My condolences My name is Elmer Harris, Dave was my RC Airplane flying buddy for years !! We were a famous RC buddy duo at Thunderbirds RC Airplane club while I lived in Texas. We traveled everywhere we could flying RC airplanes and such and spent days having fun at RC Jet meets. We talked at least once a week and I talked to him last on December 25th and I'm so sad he's gone.”
