He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Conwell and Martha Conwell of Azle; and his sisters, Celia Pyle of Carthage, TX and Helen Short of Azle. He is survived by: his wife Susan Conwell of Azle; his sons, Jimmy Conwell, Granbury and Charles Conwell; his grandchildren, Chloe Rowitz, Garrett Crae Conwell of Azle and Katy Conwell of Azle; and his sister Nancy Davis of Azle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
