He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Hemmel; his father-in-law John Foster; his nephew Brennan Reynolds; and his grandparents, Gib, Sis Ortmeyer, Clarence, Helen Hemmel, John and Ann Foster.
He is survived by: his mother Debbie Hemmel (VanLoo); his wife Jackie; his children, Alex, Wesley and Maggie Hemmel; his sisters, Marla Day and Kendra Hemmel; his mother-in-law Mary Foster; his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Foster, Jenni Reynolds (Jack) and Jon Foster (Rachel); and his grandparents, Robert and Patricia West.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to an Education Fund for the Hemmel Children in care of Jackie Hemmel.
