She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Tanksley and John Tanksley Sr.; her husband Charles David Brown; her sons, James Sexton Jr. and Charles David Brown, Jr.; and her brother John "Bubba" Tanksley Jr..
She is survived by: her granddaughter Jeren Kate Sexton; her sisters, Louise Robinson (Roy) and Linda Machalicek (Jimmy); her niece Buffy Nehring (Matt); her grandchildren, Kaleb, Chelbie, Karter Nehring, Keeli and Teigen Tawney; her extended family, Guardian Angel, Dale Wyatt and Christie Parker Anz; and her daughter Caye (Rickey Caves). She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
