She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Leon Puryear (Buster) and Mabel Woods Puryear; her husband Clyde Willis Black; her son Doyle Alan Black; and her siblings, Geneva Mae Puryear Slagle, Edward Leon Puryear, Arlon Lois Puryear (Bumpy), Beaulah Dale Puryear and Beauford Gale Puryear.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ollie Joe Puryear of Waco and Shirley Ann Puryear Couch of Hubbard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, several cousins.
