He is survived by: his wife Sue Long Simpson; his children, Thomas Wayne Simpson, Teresa Gay Wallace and Sherrill Lynn Simpson; his granddaughters, Alicia Gay Hargett, Felicia Rae Odom and Samantha Lynn Conners; his great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Melody, Harmony and Codie; and his brother-in-law David Long. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
