With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Decker Jr. of Avinger, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Terrell "Buster" Decker and Gladiola Gloria Burson Decker; his son Shelby Decker; and his brothers, John Robert Atkinson, Jr. and Ricky Wayne Decker.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Decker; his children, Tiffany Jeffries (Travis), Stephen York (Tara), Wallace Decker, Michael Aaron York and Eric York (Martie); his siblings, Douglas Overstreet, Karen Hendricks, Chris Decker (Eleanor), Rachel Renz (Jason), Jay Atkinson (Shelley), Jazalyn Mackay and Toby Locke; his grandchildren, Bailee Johnson (Logan Hoffpauir), Trey Jeffries, Aubree Jeffries, Raeleigh York, Michael York, Kaylee York, Ella York, Winston York, Joseph York, Mason York and Maggie York; and his great grandchild Hollee Hoffpauir. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in his name can be made to The Lake of the Pines Baptist Church or the Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Avinger, Texas.
