He was predeceased by: his parents, Wadie Chism and Mattie Chism; his daughter LaToya Denmark; and his siblings, Billy Denmark and Sherry Denmark.
He is survived by: his wife Toyce Denmark (Dallas); his sons, Jimmie Denmark Jr. (Los Angeles) and Jay Hartfield (Avinger); his close friend Teresa Sharp (Lone Star); his siblings, Kathy Wells (Mount Pleasant), Laura Chism (Hughes Springs), Mary Johnson (Greenville) and Jessie Chism (Kansas); and his cousin Shelia Thomas (Texarkana). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, and cousins.
