He is survived by: his children, Todd Samples of Avinger and Rebecca Westmoreland (Corky) of Hughes Springs; his siblings, Joan Moldt of Avinger, Gail Cooper (Richie) of Houston, TX, Virginia Swanson (Ron) of Houston, TX, Bruce Samples of Hughes Springs, TX and Emmitt Samples (Mary) of Avinger, TX; his grandchildren, Timber and Stetson Westmoreland; and his nieces and nephews, Tawnya, Ty, Tish, Sean, Kim, Whitney, Danielle and Colton.
