He is survived by: his wife Frances Ann Burkett; his children, Terry Burkett (Melissa), Stacey Burkett (Tara) and Kathy Burkett Castaneda (Eddy) of Avery; his grandchildren, John Thornsberry (Courtney), Wade Burkett (Lauren), Jake Burkett (Lauren), Julianna Burkett, Garrett Burkett and Kristin Burkett; and his sister-in-law Venda Burkett of DeKalb. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
