She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Milton and Bertie Ann Kruze McCommas; her husband George Nicks; her son-in-law Wayne Jackson; her brothers, Horace, Novray and Jake McCommas; her children, Mark Nicks of Avery and Pamela Nicks of Avery; and her sisters, Alene Burnett of Texarkana and Juda Hillis of Maud. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
