He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Nugent and Rozetta Northcutt Robison; his wife Lawanda Harrison; and his siblings, Willard, Albert, Vernice Stevens and Viola Sturdivant.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Gandy (Rick) of Avery and Tammy Putteet (Connie Mack) of Avery; his grandchildren, Brad Putteet (Alisha) of Avery, Stephanie Peek (Bo) of Omaha, Derrick Gandy of Avery, Walt Putteet (Tishie) of Avery and Dillon Gandy of Avery; and his great grandchildren, Payton, Kailey, Natalie, Brannon, Skyler and Jase. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
