He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jane Grigg; his son Benton Grigg; and his sister Lottie Bertani. He is survived by: his son David Grigg (Pam) of Avery; his grandchild Ashley Calloway (Riley); and his great grandchildren, Fisher, Radley, Harley, Henry and Jonah.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clarksville Funeral Home (100 W College Ave, Clarksville, TX 75426). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home (100 W College Ave, Clarksville, TX 75426).

“We loved Duel and his family. Duel was the one who cleared Don for me to date over 38 years ago. He graduated with Don’s Mom, and we all have happy memories with him. Duel said they liked to ride in a “hoop-ty” When he was a teenager. It was a souped up car. He was a kind hearted friend.”
