She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Powell, Eddie James Reed Jr., Nathaniel Tolden, Tammie Gordon and Cynthia Powell; and her daughters-in-law, Cynthia Powell and Tammie Gordon (Nathaniel Tolden). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
