She was predeceased by: her husband Plummer J. Porter III; her parents, Chalmers Freeman and Eloise Freeman; her siblings, Geneva Smith, Joyce Freeman, Clarissa Battles, Chalmers Jr. and Baby Freeman; and her grandsons, Darrell Porter II and James Riggins Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Darrell, P. J. IV (Patricia), Timothy (Lorna) and Anthony. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
