He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Athanasiou and Styliani Athanasiou; and his siblings, Kostas, Demetra, Ioannis, Demetrios and Vassiliki.
He is survived by: his spouse Magda (Madeleine); and his children, Presvytera Stella (Vasileios), Nickolas (Heather) and Zephie (John).
