He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Leon Ashcraft and Mary Elizabeth Sykes. He is survived by: his sisters, Shirley Ann Jones and Carol Lynn Franklin; his children, Diana and Lee Steven (Angela Ashcraft) of Breckenridge, CO; his stepchildren, Kimberly, Katrina and Kishna; his wife Joy Korver Wristers; and his children, Dirk (Lori Wristers) of Breckenridge, CO, Scott (Diana Armstrong) of Millican, TX, Thomas (Donna Ashcraft) of Cedar Park, TX and Ty (Kishna Weaver) of Bee Cave, TX. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hill Country Bible Church (4310 N Quinlan Park Rd, Austin, TX 78732). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Wheat Cemetery.
