He was predeceased by: his uncle William "Billy" Hamilton; his grandparents, Willie Ersell McCulloch Sr., Helen Chenault McCulloch, Oscar A. Hamilton Jr. M. D. and Eutha Winfrey Hamilton; and his father Willie E McCulloch Jr..

He is survived by: his mother Mary; his brother Trey; his uncle David (Vicki); and his aunts, Marilyn, Barbara (Pete) and Sally (Mike). He is also survived by numerous cousins and two nieces, one nephew and one grandniece.

Donations may be made in honor of Scott McCulloch to Camp Hope in Houston, or any organization that could help veterans with PTSD.
