The passing of Robert Oran Linder of Austin, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 11, 2025 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Linder and Betty Linder (McIlvaine); his daughter Rachel; and his sisters, Debbie Linder and Barbara Millard.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Slayton Linder; his children, Chad Linder (Michelle), Courtney Linder and Bethany Linder Simeone (Korey); his grandsons, Logan Linder and Alex Linder; and his siblings, Charles Linder (Karon), Sandy Zvitt (Gary), Cheryl Gibisser (Glenn), Jim Linder (Patti), John Linder (Jill) and Karin Vial (Ron).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Fairbury (200 E Maple St, Fairbury, IL 61739). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Rick Boehme wrote a sympathy message

“We grew up together in St. Charles, IL starting from Alice Davis Elementary School, (Our elementary school basketball team was undefeated becoming the St. Charles City Champions.), and graduating in 1967 from GE Thompson High School. He was an incredible athlete playing basket ball in his freshman year on the varsity as the starting point guard. He was very kind to me. My deepest sympathies to all his family at his passing.
