In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Weiser Thoresen and Oscar Thoresen; and his sister Helen Thoresen Mathias. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Thoresen; his son David Sean Thoresen; and his sister Joyce Thoresen Pfluger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (3501 Red River St, Austin, TX 78705). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (1600 Comal St, Austin, TX 78702).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be sent to St. Paul Lutheran Church Organ Fund or Hospice Austin Christopher House, 2820 E. Martin Luther King Blvd.
