She is survived by: her brother Garry Maveety of Ruidoso; her children, Karen Carnes Slay of Dallas, TX, Keith Avery Carnes of Overgaard, AZ and Katherine Carnes Burns (Kate) of Austin, TX; her grandchild Regan Leigh Slay of Savannah, TX; her children, Dylan Teel Slay of Garland, TX, Josephine Leigh Burns (Jojo) of Austin, TX and Tessa Rose Burns of Austin, TX; and her son-in-law Douglas Teel Slay (Billy) of Dallas, TX.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (4801 La Crosse Ave, Austin, TX 78739).
