With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Champion of Austin, Texas, born in Trinity, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orbra S. Whisenhunt and Ival Mae Davis; her siblings, Elvis, Otis Whisenhunt and Bernice Whisenhunt Tharp (Homer); her sister-in-law Candace Thornton; her former husband William Charles "Bill" Champion; and her friend Jessie Carillo.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Nauert; her sibling Bennie Thornton; her children, Lanny Ledesma (Cris), Lorie Martinez (Steve), Larry Ledesma (Sara) and John Champion (Allison); her stepsons, Don Nauert (Felisha) and Michael Nauert; her grandchildren, Ryan Martinez, Logan Ledesma, Nicholas Martinez, Luke Ledesma, Will Champion, Kaitlyn Ledesma, Christopher Champion, Emily Miller, James Nauert, Hailey Nauert, Jake Nauert, Kyle Nauert, Pat and Wayne; and also Mary Beth Whisenhunt.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Harrel Funeral Home of Austin (4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745). A reception will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
