He was predeceased by: his parents, Freida Brauss and Edward Brauss; his wife Bernice Kummer; and his sons, Stephen and David.
He is survived by: his children, John (Patti) and Elizabeth Afflitto (Eric); his daughters-in-law, Barbara Brauss and Reisha Persad; his grandchildren, Jason Brauss (Karen), Nicholas Afflitto and Sydney Sike (Aleks); and his great grandchildren, Jay Brauss, Emersyn Sike and Bennett Sike.
