We bid farewell to Miguel H. Chagoya of Austin, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 15, 2024 at the age of 98. Miguel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Andrea Marmolejo Chagoya; his children, Nieves Chagoya and Alice Chagoya; his great grandchild Erica Vasquez; his parents, Jose Chagoya and Inez Hernandez Chagoya; and his siblings, Guadalupe Chagoya, Catalina Euresti, Consuelo Chagoya, Francisco "Pancho" Chagoya, Antonia Facundo and Jesusa Facundo.
He is survived by: his children, Gil S. Chagoya, Rosa Carrisalez (Alvino), Janie Chagoya and Adam Chagoya; and his siblings, Eulalia Serna, Janie Rodriguez, Carmen Marmolejo, Sara Cardenas and Epifanio Chagoya. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home Heritage Chapel (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702). A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Mission Funeral Home - East Side (1615 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Dolores Catholic Church (1111 Montopolis Dr, Austin, TX 78741).
