It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Ortega of Austin, Texas, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Maria leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Ernest Ortega; her children, Alejandro Josue, Victoria and Andrea Veronica Ortega; and her parents, Consuelo Rodriguez Solorzano and Francisco Solorzano.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home (4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745). A rosary will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
