With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Mejia of Austin, Texas, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Mejia to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Refugio Alcantar and Maria Elena Alcantar; and her siblings, Tita Zarate, Joe Alcantar, Cheyo Alcantar and Olga Alcantar.
She is survived by: her husband Candido Mejia; her children, Candido "Cande" Mejia III (Eva), Cynthia Grace Mejia and Daniel Tomas Mejia; her grandchildren, Ryan Cande Mejia and Christopher Louis Mejia; and her sister Angie Pomarice.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745). A rosary will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
