He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ignacio Godines and Beatriz Alegria Godines; his children, Priscilla Godines, Patricia Tejada, Pamela Gagot, Diedra Godines, Terrance Gourdine, Romeo Chavez, Tulio Gagot and Valentin Hernandez III; his siblings, Bobby Godines (Crissy), Betty Perez (Oscar), Beatrice Godines (Ricardo Alaniz), Belinda Garza (Jesse) and Marisa Garza (Javier); his grandchildren, Joshua Ortiz, Estella Ortiz and Sophia Hernandez; and his former wife Elma McGinnis.
