Lucille Mecey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Mecey (Austin, Texas), who passed away on July 24, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Nicholas and Anthony Garza; her daughter Cathy; and her husband Gus. She is survived by: her daughter Sandra (Jack Sahadi); and her grandchildren, Chemaine Koester (Court), Amber Hargrove (William D.), Damon Sahadi and R. Reagan Sahadi (Mary Margaret). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a formal gathering after the Saturday memorial will be post-pone and held at a later date. Per Saint Mary's Cathedral Covid-19 protocol, everyone attending the services over two years of age, must wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital (http://www.stjude.org).
